Jonathan Pease
Jonathan is an accomplished, versatile pianist. After reading music at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, he studied the piano with Graham Fitch, and is in high demand as an accompanist and répétiteur, thanks to his exceptional sight-reading skills and sensitive ensemble playing.
Jonathan is part of a successful duo partnership with oboist Nicola Hands, with whom he has played at venues including St. Martin in the Fields, Peterborough, Winchester and Bury Cathedrals, St. George Hanover Square, St. Mary Perivale, St. James Paddington, St. Pancras Church and St. Olave Hart Street. Praised for their spontaneity and effortless ensemble, the duo have earned recognition as Making Musicselected artists and the support of the Concordia Foundation. The duo are proud to have produced the premiere recording of Paul Patterson'sPhoenix Sonata, due for release later in 2020.
Jonathan has worked with groups including Blackheath Halls, Chelsea Opera Group, Garsington Youth Opera, Glyndebourne Opera, Highbury Opera Theatre, Opera Holland Park, Orpheus Sinfonia, Spitalfields Music and Royal Opera House; and has enjoyed residencies aboard HMS Arcadia with saxophonist Alastair Penman.
He is accompanist to the London Docklands Singers and Upbeat Choir.
